Hi, I’m Liz. You don’t have to walk this journey alone.
I’m Liz Gaffney MIACP, an Integrative and Humanistic IACP accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor, Tutor, Trainer and Mentor. I bring two decades of experience supporting individuals, couples and groups.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, anger, trauma, loss and bereavement, domestic abuse, family and relationship dynamics, neurodiversity, life transitions, and workplace stress and burnout.
My approach is integrative, trauma-informed and compassionate. I draw from person-centred, psychodynamic, Gestalt, CBT, solution-focused and body-based approaches, shaped around each person’s unique story.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to trust, safety and acceptance. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your experiences at your own pace, discover your strengths and move towards greater understanding, healing and personal growth.

A few lines are enough. Share only what feels comfortable.
- 02
Have a first conversation
Talk about what brings you to therapy and ask what you need to know.
- 03
Choose what feels right
If you continue, you will agree a clear and regular way of working together.
A thought from Carl Rogers
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
Change can begin with understanding rather than judgement.
04 / A little reassurance
A little clarity.
A little reassurance.
If your question is not here, you are welcome to include it in your message.

The first session is a conversation about what has brought you to therapy, what you hope may change and whether Liz feels like the right person to support you.
There is no single answer. Some people come with a focused concern. Others need more time. This can be discussed openly and reviewed as the work develops.
Confidentiality is central to therapy. Liz will explain how it works, including the limited circumstances where safety or legal duties may need to be considered.
Sessions normally last 50 minutes.
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. With less than 24 hours’ notice, the full session fee is due.
Yes. Online sessions are available as well as in-person appointments. Contact Liz to discuss the option that suits you.
Fees are available on enquiry. Contact Liz for information about individual therapy, couples and group work, or clinical supervision.
