Supervision as a professional relationship
Clinical supervision offers a different space from personal therapy. It is an opportunity to reflect on professional work, bring questions and consider how you are developing as a practitioner. An initial conversation with Liz can help you explore whether her approach and experience fit the supervision you are seeking.
Experience behind the work
Liz holds a Diploma in Integrative Clinical Supervision, a BSc (Hons) and a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and certificates in family, couples and group therapy. She is an IACP accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor. She brings two decades of experience supporting individuals, couples and groups, as well as extensive experience in community work, adult education, student support and people management.
Individual and group supervision
Liz offers individual and group supervision. These formats allow for different ways of reflecting on practice; the appropriate arrangement depends on your professional needs and any requirements that apply to your work. Ask about frequency, format, availability and fees rather than assuming a particular arrangement or group place is available.
What to discuss when enquiring
You can briefly mention your professional role, stage of practice and the kind of supervision you are looking for. If you have training-provider or professional-body requirements, bring those to the conversation so suitability can be checked. Do not include identifiable client material in a website enquiry. Supervision agreements and confidentiality arrangements should be discussed directly.
Appointments and fees
Liz’s practice is based at 232 Harold’s Cross Road, Dublin, D6W N923. Ask about in-person or online arrangements for your supervision needs. Fees are available on enquiry. The website does not guarantee that a particular programme, placement or accreditation body will accept an arrangement; confirm the relevant requirements before beginning.
Your questions
Does Liz offer group supervision?
Yes. Ask about current availability and how a group arrangement would work for your professional needs.
Is supervision the same as therapy?
No. Supervision focuses on professional practice. Personal therapy concerns your own therapeutic work. They have different purposes and agreements.
What should I send in my first message?
A brief introduction, your contact details and the type of supervision sought are enough. Please do not include client names or identifying clinical information.
A simple first step
Enquire about availability, fees and the support you are looking for. Please keep your message brief and avoid detailed personal or clinical information.
